Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. I used the layout to create a quick holiday card.
My card uses a stitched snowflake die from Lil' Inker Designs to make a faux border along the bottom of the top section of the card. I lined up the die cuts on the red card base, then adhered a pink cardstock panel to the cardfront so that the bottom halves of the die cut flakes were covered up. A narrow strip of silver cardstock placed at the top of the pink panel gives the trio of die cuts a cohesive look. The "may your holidays sparkle and shine" sentiment from the Lil' Inker Designs Winter Greetings stamp set was stamped on the pink panel in red ink. For a final touch of sparkle, I adhered a single silver sequin to the center of each flake.
Materials Used:
Winter Greetings stamp set, Stitched Snowflakes dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Flamingo ink (Reverse Confetti); Red Punch and Silver cardstock (Recollections); silver sequins
Cute card, must admit red and pink don't cross my mind when I think of snowflakes - love how you pulled it off. Great job. Thanks for joining us this week at CC&S
