You Brighten My Day

Here's my card for the current Fusion challenge.  I paired the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo--color scheme and welcoming theme--for my super simple and cheerful design.

You Brighten My Day card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from SugarPea Designs

I used the Watt's Up? stamp set from SugarPea Designs to stamp a trio of lightbulbs on a white panel. The lightbulbs were colored with Copic markers in several shades of yellow.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I gave each bulb a light coating of subtle glitter for a glow-y look.  The set's "you brighten my day" sentiment was stamped on a gray oval panel then adhered to the bottom of the stamped panel using foam tape for dimension.  After edging the panel with narrow strips of bright yellow cardstock, I adhered the finished panel to a gray card base matching the sentiment strip.

Materials Used:
Watt's Up? stamp set (SugarPea Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Bright Buttercup and Weathervane cardstock (Papertrey Ink); petite oval dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
