Boo to You

Boo to You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lil' Inker Designs

Here's my card for the current Try Stampin' on Tuesday challenge. I paired the layout with the spooky theme for a Halloween card that will be making its way to a friend's seven year old with a new kitten.

The cat from the Lil' Inker Designs Seen on Halloween stamp set was stamped in black ink and heat embossed for a glossy ink.  After cutting the embossed image out with the matching die, I used foam tape to adhere it to a yellow "moon" complete with debossed circle craters.  I made a background for the image panel from a trio of green on green dotted patterned paper panels matted on purple cardstock and arranged at the top of a lime green cardstock panel.  After adding a long purple fishtail flag strip over the trio of patterned strips, I positioned the image panel on top.  For some sparkle, I added a trio of silver sequins around the image panel. The finished panel was adhered to a green card base just a bit darker than the lime green panel.  It's not really a spooky design, but I think it'll be a hit with my friend's daughter nonetheless!

Material Used:
Seen on Halloween stamp set, Seen on Halloween dies (Lil' Inker Designs); VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Daffodil Delight and Lovely Lilac cardstock, black detail embossing powder (Stampin' Up!); Limeade Ice and Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); circle dies (Spellbinders); Fishtail Flag STAX dies (My Favorite Things); Polka Dots embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts); silver sequins; foam tape
