It's time for another Color Throwdown! This week we have a super seasonal mix of colors--orange, black, and kraft. I paired the colors with the current Mojo Monday sketch for a fun card with a Halloween theme that perfectly matches the color scheme.
My focal image is the witch from the Lil' Inker Designs Seen on Halloween stamp set. The witch image was stamped on white cardstock in my favorite dark black ink, VersaFine Clair Nocturne, then cut out with the coordinating die from the Bats and Broomsticks die set. I used foam tape to adhere the witch to an orange circle with debossed circles, serving as a full autumn moon. To go with the moon, I found some starry patterned paper in my stash. The star strip was matted on orange paper before I adhered it to a black cardstock panel over a large block of kraft cardstock positioned at the center of the panel. The image panel was adhered to the middle of the patterned paper panel. Since the image includes a sentiment, there was no need to make a decision about where to add one. I placed an orange tab to the top right edge of the kraft panel, anchoring it with a single staple, then adhered the panel to an orange cardfront matching the background behind the image panel. To play along, just create a paper crafted project using
these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project
using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color
matches, something close works just fine.
Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your
project. And, if you upload your project
to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD615.
If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the
hashtag #ctd615 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on
Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color
