Here's my card for the current fall/Halloween Lawn Fawnatics inspiration challenge. I paired the fall theme and Lawn Fawn's Stitched Leaves dies with the current sketch from The Paper Craft Crew for this earth toned design.
The leaves were die cut from cream cardstock, then inked with several shades of distress oxide and distress inks to get a rich, variegated look. I used foam tape to adhere the leaves to an olive green striped panel over a twisty nest of gold thread. The panel was adhered on an angle over a contrasting rust cardstock panel on an olive green card base. The "so thankful for you" sentiment from Lawn Fawn's So Thankful stamp set was stamped on a narrow olive cardstock strip. I used more foam tape to adhere the strip over the leaf pair. A scattering of coppery sequins arranged above and below the leaves completed the design and added even more sparkle. I don't usually mix metals (gold and copper here) but on this fall design, it worked!
Material Used:
So Thankful stamp set, Stitched Leaves dies
(Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE
Crafts); Fired Brick distress oxide, Vintage Photo and Rusty Hinge distress inks (Ranger); Really Rust and Old Olive cardstock
