It's time for another Color Throwdown! It's my turn to be challenge hostess this week. I've found a mix of colors inspired by a fun tote bag--kraft, red, green, and chartreuse.
I paired the colors with the current Mojo Monday sketch. My focal image panel is filled with a cluster of flowers stamped with Reverse Confetti's Petals 'n Posies stamp set and cut out with the matching dies. For dimension, I added white matte enamel dots to the flower centers and popped some flowers up on foam tape. The panel was matted on chartreuse cardstock and adhered to a chartreuse panel over a chartreuse gingham panel and an earthy kraft panel. The kraft mutes the bright chartreuse just a bit. I stamped the thank you sentiment from RC's Best Sentiments stamp set to the right of the image panel in red ink, then tucked a narrow red cardstock strip beneath the kraft panel. The finished panel was adhered to a kraft card base.To play along, just create a paper crafted project using
these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project
using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color
matches, something close works just fine.
Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your
project. And, if you upload your project
to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD617.
If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the
hashtag #ctd617 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on
Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color
Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Colleen Begley.
