Here's my card for this month's Mix It Up challenge at SugarPea Designs. I used the layout and elements from the inspiration photo (color scheme, silhouette image, and Halloween theme) to create my design.
I used one of SPD's Stitched Circle dies to cut a trio of orange circles to use as moons. The circles were positioned on the left side of a dark purple cardstock panel. Each circle was topped with a die cut bat cut with SPD's Stitched Autumn Icons stamp set. After matting the panel with black cardstock, I adhered it to a pale gray card base. The "wishing you a spooktacular Halloween" sentiment from the Eek-a-Boo set was stamped at the bottom right of the purple panel in white ink, then heat embossed to pop against the dark background. For contrast and balance, I tucked a strip of orange cardstock beneath the lower right side of the purple panel. A trio of gold glitter enamel dot "stars" arranged around the bats and moons completed the design.
