Color Throwdown 619-Holiday Cheer

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Vickie is our hostess this week with one of my all-time favorite color combinations--aqua, red, and silver.

I paired the colors with the current Mojo Monday sketch and stamps and dies from Paper Smooches for this holiday themed design.  I used a large silver snowflake cut with PS's Huge Snowflake dies as my focal image.  The flake was positioned at the left side of a red patterned paper strip with white and aqua snowflakes that was layered on to an aqua cardstock panel. I dressed up the right side of the patterned strip by tucking a silver scalloped strip beneath the edge.  The flake was accented with a clear self adhesive crystal for even more sparkle and shine.  I stamped the "holiday cheer" sentiment from the PS Christmas Sampler stamp set on a narrow strip of red cardstock and used foam tape to place the stamped strip across the bottom of the snowflake.  A tiny aqua baker's twine bow was placed at the left side of the sentiment strip as a simple accent.  I adhered the finished panel to a red card base matching the sentiment strip.
