With Much Grrr-atitude

With Much Grrr-atitude card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from SugarPea Designs

Here's my card for the current Mix It Up challenge at SugarPea Designs.  I combined the sketch with elements from the inspiration photo (color scheme and dog theme) for this punny thank you design.  Since it's a thank you card, it seemed appropriate to share it on Thanksgiving Day!

My focal image is one of the cute pups from the Hot Diggity Dog stamp set.  The image was colored with Copic markers and cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  I used foam tape to adhere the image to a cream cardstock panel with curved edges and a stitching detail.  The panel was adhered to a tone on tone rust patterned paper panel with a leafy design.  I stamped a trio of hearts to the left of the image in rust colored ink, then added the "with much grrr-atitude" sentiment above the hearts on a matching rust cardstock strip. The panel was matted on rust cardstock, then adhered to a mustard card base to keep with the warm, earthy color scheme.

Materials Used:
Hot Diggity Dog stamp set (SugarPea Designs); Memento Tuxedo Black and Potter's Clay inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic);Fall Prints & Patterns patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); More Mustard and Really Rust cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Hit the Slopes dies (My Favorite Things); foam tape
