Nuttin' But Fun

Nuttin' But Fun card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn

The theme for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge is "happy holiday critters."  I used the cute squirrels from Lawn Fawn's Nutty or Nice? set for a sweet holiday themed design.  My squirrel trio was colored with Copic markers and cut out with my Scan 'n Cut machine.  It's hard to see in the photo, but I used white flock to add some texture to the images. For the background, I used the tree-topped hillside from the Over the Mountain Border stamp set.  I  stamped the image on white cardstock and colored the trees with Copic markers before trimming the image with scissors.  The hillside strip was adhered to a light blue panel embossed with a snowflake pattern.  To fill in the scene, I stamped the snowman from the Nutty or Nice? set on shimmery white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers.  The snowman and squirrels were added to the scene using foam tape for dimension.  The little gift wrapped acorn in the paws of one of the squirrels gives the scene a holiday feel.  I stamped the set's "hope your holidays are nuttin' but nice" sentiment on a pair of narrow red cardstock strips and placed them at the top of the snowflake embossed panel. The finished panel was adhered to a red card base matching the sentiment strips.
