Snow Board Without You

Snow Board Without You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things

Here's my card for the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge.  I used the fun Chill Wishes set for this one.  I colored up the snowboarding penguin with Copic markers, then used the matching die to cut out the colored image.  The hat was trimmed with some white flock to add a bit of texture to the image.  I paired the image with some snowflake patterned paper.  The patterned paper panel was matted on blue cardstock and adhered to a pale gray cardstock panel, then the image was added on top using foam tape for dimension.  The set's "I'm snow board without you" sentiment was stamped on a light blue slanted sentiment strip die cut that I tucked just beneath the raised image.  I accented it with a pair of shimmery white snowflakes cut with the Sweet Snowflakes die set. Each flake was dotted with a clear crystal at the center for a bit of sparkle.  The finished panel was adhered to a blue card base to match the mat beneath the patterned paper panel.

Materials Used:
Chill Wishes stamp set, Slanted Sentiment Strips and Sweet Snowflakes dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Blue Bayou and Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Winter Frost 6x6 paper pad (Recollections); white flock (Stampendous); clear self-adhesive crystals; foam tape
