The Sky's the Limit

The Sky's the Limit card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn
The theme for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge is Outstanding Occasions.  I used Lawn Fawn's Plane and Simple stamp set for this congratulatory card that could work for a few different occasions--I'm thinking maybe graduation or new job...

I stamped the set's airplane and banner images on white cardstock and cut them out with the matching dies. The plane was colored with Copic markers.  To make the sky background, I used a cloud stencil and a blue distress oxide on a white panel. The plane and banner were adhered to the stenciled panel with foam tape.  The panel seemed a little bare, so I added in a pair of die cut shimmery white clouds with a simple yellow pinking circle sun tucked behind them.  The set's "the sky's the limit" sentiment was stamped on a narrow red strip to match the color of the airplane image.  I used more foam tape to position the sentiment strip beneath the plane image.  The finished panel was adhered to a turquoise panel that coordinates with the cloud-filled sky.

Materials Used:
Plane and Simple stamp set, Plane and Simple dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Broken China distress oxide (Ranger); markers (Copic); Tempting Turquoise cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Bright Buttercup cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); Crystal Stardream metallic cardstock (The Paper Cut); pinking circle dies (Spellbinders); Cloud stencil (My Favorite Things); foam tape
