It's time for another Color Throwdown! Our newest team member Susie is our hostess this week with a bold and vibrant trio of colors--blue, pink, and green.I paired the colors with the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch and Altenew's Bright Blossoms stamp set. I used pink and green inks to stamp up flowers and leaves, then used the matching dies to cut out the stamped images. To bring in the blue, I used a deep blue ink to stamp the flower centers on the largest flowers. The images were arranged on a dark blue cardstock panel. For dimension I used foam tape on the flowers, leaving space to tuck the leaves underneath. The "sending healing hugs" sentiment from the Sentiment Strips 2 sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the blue panel in watermark ink, then heat embossed in white. The contrast of the white text against the blue background really makes the words pop. After edging the blue panel with narrow strips of bright pink cardstock, I adhered the panel to a green cardstock panel. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating blue card base.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using
these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project
using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color
matches, something close works just fine.
Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your
project. And, if you upload your project
to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD625.
If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the
hashtag #ctd625 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on
Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color
Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Malina Germinova.
