It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rysavy is our hostess this week with a vibrant color combination--turquoise, pink, rust, and magenta.
I kept things pretty simple for my card, using just little bits of each of the bold, bright colors and pairing them with a neutral (kraft). The layout for my card is based on the current Fab Friday sketch. I used Reverse Confetti's School Days stamp set to make a teacher themed encouragement card. Teachers here will be heading back to their classrooms soon in a hybrid instructional model and I know more than a few that need reminders about what a fabulous job they've done this year and will continue to do as they're asked to switch gears again. I colored up the bear holding a stack of books with my Copic markers, then carefully cut it out by hand. To make a background for the image, I stamped the set's bookshelf image on the top right side of a white panel and colored that in using the challenge colors and neutral kraft. The panel was matted on pink cardstock and adhered to a pink gingham patterned paper panel. I added the bear image on top using foam tape for dimension. The "you couldn't be more amazing if you tried" sentiment from RC's Word Up set was stamped on a pink cardstock strip. I adhered a slightly longer and narrower magenta strip to the bottom of the stamped strip, then adhered the strips to the panel, tucking them beneath the raised bear image. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating pink card base.To play along, just create a paper crafted project using
these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project
using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color
matches, something close works just fine.
Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your
project. And, if you upload your project
to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD631.
If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the
hashtag #ctd631 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on
Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color
Throwdown team.

Aw what a cute little scene! Anything with books is tops on my list! The coloring is great and the sentiment strip is perfectly used for a walkway for the bear! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
