Let's Taco 'Bout Your Birthday

Let's Taco 'Bout Your Birthday card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn Fawn

Here's my card for the current Lawn Fawnatics challenge. I used the sketch and Lawn Fawn's Year Nine stamp set to create this taco themed birthday card.

I stamped the tacos and party hats, then colored each image with Copic markers before cutting them all out by hand. The images were arranged on a golden yellow plaid patterned paper panel using foam tape for dimension.  I staggered the layout of the images and angled them a bit for interest, but otherwise stayed true to the layout. The set's "let's taco 'bout your  birthday" sentiment was stamped in black ink on a narrow golden yellow cardstock strip. The strip was matted on contrasting red cardstock then adhered beneath the tacos. The finished panel was matted on coordinating golden yellow cardstock and layered on to a light green card base.

Materials Used:
Year Nine stamp set, Perfectly Plaid-Spring 6x6 paper pad (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Red Punch cardstock (Recollections); Harvest Gold and Spring Moss cardstock (Papertrey Ink); foam tape
