Best Friends Will Always Be Remembered
Here's my card for the current challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. I paired the sketch with the suggested sympathy theme to create this simple pet sympathy card. I stamped the "best friends will always be remembered" sentiment from the My Favorite Things Critter Condolences stamp set in brown ink on a cream stitched oval die cut. To get a dark impression, I used my MISTI and stamped the text several times. The stamped die cut was placed on a kraft panel positioned at the top of a dark brown card base. For the bottom of the cardfront, I embossed a red panel with a heart pattern. The embossed panel was placed at the bottom of the card, then topped with a strip of dark brown cardstock to cover the seam between the kraft and red panels. I accented the brown strip with a tiny pawprint tag topped off with a bit of twine. The round shape of the tag ties in nicely with the round shapes in the embossed heart pattern below.
