Brighter Days

Brighter Days Are Ahead card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Concord & 9th

Here's my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I used the trio of stripes to create a simple rainbow at the corner of a light blue card base. The rainbow was topped with a die cut sun and a pair of clouds created with Concord & 9th's Brighter Days dies. For contrast and interest, I filled in the center of the sun with a yellow gingham circle. I added a trio of silver sequin raindrops beneath the clouds.  The "brighter days are ahead" sentiment from the Brighter Days stamp set was stamped among the raindrops in blue ink to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Brighter Days stamp set, Brighter Days dies (Concord & 9th); Memento Bahama Blue ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin Up!); Red Punch and Ocean cardstock (Recollections); Bright Buttercup cardstock, Lemon Tart patterned paper (Papertrey Ink); Crystal Stardream metallic cardstock (The Paper Cut); circle punch; silver sequins; foam tape
