Color Throwdown 633-You Are in my Thoughts

 

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess this week. She's chosen a soft, soothing mix of colors--light blue, gray, and kraft.

I paired the colors with the current Sunday Stamps challenge for this sweet design.  My background was created with four light blue polka dotted panels matted on coordinating solid blue cardstock and adhered to a gray card base. I stamped a bunny from Lawn Fawn's Butterfly Kisses stamp set on kraft cardstock as my focal image.  For texture, I used a bit of white flock on the bunny's belly and tail. I positioned the bunny on the lower left dotted panel using foam tape for dimension. To fill in the scene, I stamped one of the set's flight trails in gray ink and added a tiny butterfly at the end of the trail. The image was colored with blue and gray Copic markers to go with the challenge colors. I used a mix of dies from the All the Clouds die set to cut a bunch of different sized clouds from shimmery white and gray cardstock. The clouds were arranged on the top two panels, overlapping them for interest. I die cut a long white fishtail flag strip for the sentiment. Since I tucked the strip beneath the image, it also serves to ground the bunny.  The "you are in my thoughts" sentiment was stamped on the strip in gray ink to finish the design.
