Fluttering by to Say Hi

Fluttering by to Say Hi card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn

Here's my card for the current Lawn Fawnatics Spring themed inspiration challenge. I used stamps and dies from Lawn Fawn for this simple but sweet scene with several spring elements and a soft, spring-inspired pastel color scheme.

My layout was built on a pale blue card base with a curved panel of green gingham patterned paper along the bottom. The hill grounds the sweet little bunny from the Butterfly Kisses stamp set. The image was stamped on kraft cardstock and colored just a bit with Copic markers. For dimension the image was positioned on the cardfront using foam tape. To fill in the scene, I added a sun and cloud cut with dies from the Spring Showers set to the top left corner. A butterfly from the Butterfly Kisses set was colored with Copic markers to add a contrasting pop of color. After cutting a stitched flight trail into the cardfront with one of LF's Stitched Trails dies, I added the butterfly to the end of the trail with more foam tape. The "fluttering by to say hi" sentiment was stamped in green ink along the curve of the green gingham hill to finish the design.

Materials Used:
Butterfly Kisses stamp set, Spring Showers and Stitched Trails dies (Lawn Fawn); Memento Tuxedo Black and Bamboo Leaves inks (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); markers (Copic); Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft and Lemon Tart cardstock, Simply Chartreuse patterned pspaer (Papertrey Ink); Crystal Stardream metallic cardstock (The Paper Cut); foam tape
