It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lynn is our hostess this week with a vibrant floral inspired color combination--yellow, green, blue, and white.
I paired the colors with the current Mojo Monday sketch and some perfect for spring stamps from Mama Elephant. The yellow in the challenge palette was perfect for the raincoat on the cutie from the Chance of Rain stamp set. I colored up the image along with a bright green umbrella, then cut out the colored images. They were adhered to a blue panel with torn green strips along the bottom as grass. I used foam tape to give the images some dimension. That also allowed me to tuck the die cut shimmery white clouds behind the raised images. The panel was matted on yellow cardstock and adhered to a green card base covered with a blue panel on the top and a green gingham panel on the bottom. The "I'm here rain or shine" sentiment was stamped at the bottom corner of the cardfront in black ink to complete the card.To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD638. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd638 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's guest star stamper Julia Metra.
