Here's my card for the current challenge at The Paper Players. I used the sketch to create a masculine design featuring Altenew's Mini Delight: Polar Bear stamp and die set. I took a little creative license with the bear image, cutting it out from kraft cardstock and inking it with some distress ink to transform it into a brown bear. The bear was adhered to a round light blue panel with a strip of green cardstock along the bottom to ground the image. The panel was matted on kraft cardstock, then adhered to a tree patterned paper panel over a pair of vertical green cardstock strips. For the sentiment, I stamped the "sending bear hugs" sentiment on the left side of an aqua cardstock strip. The strip was edged with a narrow strip of kraft cardstock, then threaded beneath the image panel and vertical green strips. The finished panel was adhered to a green card base to match the strips on the cardfront.
Materials Used:
Mini Delight: Polar Bear stamp and die set (Altenew); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); Garden Green and Bashful Blue cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Hawaiian Shores and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Lakeside 6x6 paper pad (Pebbles); circle dies (Spellbinders); foam tape
