It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lisa is our hostess this week with a pretty, feminine color palette--blush pink, dark pink, and cream.
I paired the colors with the current Mojo Monday sketch and some stamps and dies from Lil' Inker Designs. To start things off, I found a blush pink and cream patterned paper panel with a simple pattern that I could build my design on. I added a pale pink panel embossed with a classic Swiss dot pattern to the left side of the panel. For contrast a dark pink strip edged with some cream trim was placed across the top of the panel, overlapping the embossed pink panel. I cut a circle from cream cardstock and used foam tape to place a pair of stitched heart die cuts on the circle. After matting the panel on a kraft scalloped circle, I adhered it to the panel. The "lots of love" sentiment was stamped in pink ink on a cream tab with curved edges using stamps from LID's Cozy Plaid stamp set. The sentiment strip was tucked beneath the top of the dark pink panel. The finished panel was adhered to a soft pink card base.To play along, just create a paper crafted project using
these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project
using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color
matches, something close works just fine.
Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your
project. And, if you upload your project
to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD636.
If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the
hashtag #ctd636 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on
Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color
Throwdown team and this week's guest star stamper Maggie Stallman.
