Here's my card for the current challenge at CAS Colours and Sketches. I represented the layout's non-geometric element extending out from the right side of the panel with a tree branch die cut from kraft cardstock. The branch was adhered to a cardstock panel inked with purple and blue distress oxides to look like a cloudy nighttime sky. To go with the branch, I stamped a bat from the Paper Smooches Falling for You stamp set. The bat was colored with Copic markers and cut out with the matching die, then adhered so it was hanging down from the branch. For the sentiment, I mixed and matched text from two different sentiments to get "batty for you." After stamping the text on the purple sentiment strip, it was adhered to the bottom left side of the inked panel. A trio of silver hearts cut with the Tiny Hearts die set was arranged around the bat as a fun accent. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating purple card base.
Materials Used:
Falling for You stamp set, Falling for You, Trees 1, and Tiny Hearts dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Faded Jeans and Seedless Preserves distress oxides (Ranger); markers (Copic); Very Violet and Silver cardstock (Recollections); foam tape
