Here's my card for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I trimmed down the layout's standard slimline size to a mini slimline, which was the perfect size for the Happy dies from Reverse Confetti. I die cut the connected letters from bright pink cardstock and adhered them to a pale pink cardstock panel. The individual letters were cut from the same pink cardstock as the background panel. I used foam tape to arrange them on the bright pink mat. The "birthday to you" sentiment from the Happy Coordinates set was stamped beneath the die cut word in bright pink ink. I added a trio of pinkish-red matte enamel dots around the word before adhering the pink panel to a slightly larger bright pink panel centered on the front of the pale pink card base. This monochromatic design would be easy to reproduce in a variety of color palettes to have a bunch of birthday cards on hand!
Materials Used:
Happy Coordinates stamp set, Piggy Bank cardstock, Happy dies (Reverse Confetti); Memento Angel Pink ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Hibiscus Burst cardstock (Papertrey Ink); matte enamel dots (Eyelet Outlet); foam tape
I love this big, bold sentiment and the lovely shades of pink! Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches!
