Blue Thinking of You

Blue Thinking of You card-created by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Altenew

Here's my card for the current Global Design Project challenge. I combined the layout from the inspiration card along with some of the design's elements, including the blue color and floral trio, to create my card.

My flower trio was created with Altenew's Bright Blossom stamp set. The flowers were stamped using two shades of blue ink and cut out with the matching die. I stamped up a bunch of leaves, too, using shades of green. For the background, I inked a cardstock panel with different shades of distress oxides. I dribbled on some water droplets to add interest before adhering the flowers to the panel using foam tape for dimension. The leaves were tucked underneath the flowers to break up the blue. To add interest, I used a distressing tool to rough up the panel's edges. I wrapped a long length of aqua baker's twine around the panel and secured it with a bow at the end of the sentiment strip. The strip was stamped with the "thinking of you" sentiment from the Thinking of You set. The finished panel was adhered to a coordinating blue card base.

Materials Used:
Bright Blossom and Thinking of You stamp sets, Dew Drop, Sea Breeze, Bamboo, and Grass Field Crisp Inks, Bright Blossom dies (Altenew); Peacock Feathers and Broken China distress oxides (Ranger); Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink); twine (Target); foam tape
