Color Throwdown 650-Hello Sunshine

 

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Wanda has a mix of neutrals with a pop of color for this week's challenge--yellow, gray, black, and white.  I paired the colors with the current sketch at Sunday Stamps for this cheery card.

I used Lawn Fawn's Spring Showers dies to cut a yellow sun and shimmery white clouds from cardstock scraps. The die cuts were arranged at the left side of a white panel stamped with the "hello sunshine" sentiment from the Hello Sunshine stamp set. After matting the panel on contrasting black cardstock, I adhered it to the lower part of a gray dotted patterned paper panel that I'd edged with a narrow strip of golden yellow cardstock. The panel was adhered to a black card base to match the mat beneath the sentiment panel. A trio of shiny silver raindrops beneath the clouds completed the design.
