Out of This World

Here's my card for the current Make the Cards challenge. I used the layout's large circle as a moon for a space themed design. My moon was cut from shimmery white cardstock and debossed with a polka dotted embossing folder to create the appearance of craters. The round panel was adhered to a galaxy style background that I made from blended distress oxides in shades of blues and purples. The "stars" were created by dribbling some water droplets over the panel. To go with my space theme, I stamped and colored a rocket image from Lawn Fawn's Out of This World stamp set. The rocket was positioned in front of the moon using foam tape for dimension. I stamped the set's "hope your birthday is out of this world" sentiment on a pair of purple strips. The strips were adhered to the panel overlapping the moon, again using foam tape for dimension. The finished panel was adhered to a purple card base to match the sentiment strips.
