Here's my card for the current challenge at Freshly Made Sketches. I used the layout's large panel to show off one of the pretty poppy images from Altenew's Poppy Fields stamp set. The outline image was stamped in black ink, then filled in with two shades of red ink to get the full detail of the image. The center was stamped with the detail image, then shaded with a gray Copic marker. I used the coordinating die to cut out the colored image, then adhered the image to the top of a green stamped stem using foam tape for dimension. The panel was matted on red cardstock, then on black before it was adhered to a white cardstock panel. I stamped one of the "thinking of you" sentiments from the Thinking of You set in black ink on a red strip. To match the image panel, I matted the strip on black cardstock before I added it to the white panel. The white panel was adhered to a contrasting red card base to match the sentiment strip.
Materials Used:
Poppy Fields stamp and die set, Thinking of You stamp set, Coral Bliss, Heart Beat, Parrot, and Cloudy Night Crisp Inks (Altenew); Versafine Clair Nocturne ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); marker (Copic); Real Red and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin' Up!); foam tape
CAS perfection, Lori! Thanks for playing along with us at FMS this week.
