Here's my card for the current challenge at Global Design Project. I represented the layout's irregularly placed images with a bunch of floral silhouette images from the My Favorite Things Flower Silhouettes stamp set. The images were stamped on the left side of a white cardstock panel in white ink and heat embossed in white. To make them visible, I applied green distress inks over the embossed areas, highlighting the crisp white flowers. I adhered an avocado green die cut strip with a slanted edge at the bottom of the flower cluster. The strip was topped with a narrow pale green cardstock strip stamped with the "with sympathy" sentiment from MFT's Essential Sentiments stamp set in green ink. The sentiment was adhered to the panel with foam tape to give the design some dimension. The finished panel was adhered to a pale green card base matching the sentiment strip.
Materials Used:
Flower Silhouettes and Essential Sentiments stamp sets, Slanted Sentiment Strips dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Bamboo Leaves ink (Tsukineko/IMAGINE Crafts); Shabby Shutters and Crushed Olive distress inks (Ranger); Ripe Avocado and Spring Moss cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Snow embossing powder (Recollections); foam tape
