It's time for another Color Throwdown! Susie is our hostess this week with a vegetable inspired mix of colors--orange, green, and tan.
I needed to make a thinking of you card for a longtime colleague of mine who is facing some significant health issues. I turned to Reverse Confetti's Poppies set for this simple, cheerful, and easy to mail design. The poppies were stamped in orange ink. To get a color gradient, I stamped off the largest circles before stamping the image inside the outline. The center is stamped in tan ink, but it doesn't show well in the photo. After cutting the image out with the matching die, I used foam tape to adhere it to an orange gingham circle die cut. The circle was positioned at the right side of a kraft card base with a wide strip of orange cardstock at the bottom. A narrow green strip of cardstock at the top of the orange panel helps to set off the gingham piece. The "thinking about you" sentiment from RC's Friendly Rainbow set was stamped in dark brown ink, matching the curve of the round gingham panel. To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD685. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd685 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Judy Rozema.

Very nice card. I like the layout you used and the choice of the checked paper for the circle element. It shows off the flowers so well.
