It's time for another Color Throwdown! I'm your hostess this week with a color combination inspired by a homemade Connect Four game--lime green, aqua, and gold. I've seen a lot of Connect Four played this year during my time covering classes for indoor recess, so this image really called to me!
I paired the colors with the current challenge at Sunday Stamps. My focal image is a globe created with Altenew's Big World stamp set. The globe image was stamped with lime and aqua pigment inks. I cut the globe stand from shiny gold foil cardstock. The stand was adhered directly to a lime green card base, then the globe was put in place using foam tape. For the sentiment, I stamped "you mean the" and "to me" in black ink on narrow strips of aqua cardstock. I arranged the strips on the cardfront, with one overlapping the left side of the globe and the other beneath the globe. I die cut the word "world" from aqua cardstock and positioned it between the stamped strips, overlapping the globe on the right side. To finish the design, I framed the globe by placing strips of aqua cardstock with narrow stripes of gold foil cardstock at the top and bottom of the cardfront. To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD687. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd687 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Rachel Davis.
