Color Throwdown 693-You Are Dolphin-ately the Best

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess with a signature Broni-style mix of colors--aqua, lime green, and navy.

My card for the challenge is based on the layout from the current TGIF Challenge. I needed to make a thank you card for a teacher appreciation gift I received from a pair of students and these colors were perfect for a dolphin themed design. Dolphins are my school's mascot, so when I saw Technique Tuesday's Drew and Darcy Dolphin stamp set, I got it knowing I'd have lots of occasions to use it! I colored up one of the dolphin images with Copic markers, then carefully cut it out with sharp scissors. I used foam tape to adhere it over a navy cardstock panel with half circle "waves" punched along the top edge. The navy panel was adhered to an aqua card base over an aqua dotted patterned paper panel with a contrasting strip of lime cardstock tucked beneath it. The set's "you are dolphin-ately the best" sentiment was stamped at the top of the dotted patterned paper piece in black ink to finish the design.
