Color Throwdown 694-Thanks, Teacher

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Amy Rohl is our hostess with a great mix of colors--black, red, yellow, and aqua.

Thanks, Teacher card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud
The layout for my stamp-free design is based on the current challenge from The Paper Players.  With the end of the school year coming up, I decided to make a teacher thank you card. This year has been long and rocky, so any teachers you know deserve an extra thank you as the year comes to a close! I built my design on an aqua card base. A strip of striped aqua patterned paper was positioned at the top. I added a strip of ruler patterned yellow washi tape along the top of the striped panel, then positioned the die cut "thanks, teacher" at the top edge of the tape strip. The layout's trio of shapes are represented with a die cut apple and a pair of gold foil stitched star die cuts. The pieces were positioned on the cardfront using foam tape for dimension.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD694.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd694 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Libeeti Frenkel.
