Color Throwdown 713-Simply Splendid

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess this week with a pretty mix of colors--burgundy, pink, green, and cream.

Simply Splendid card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse Confetti
The layout for my design is from the current sketch at Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  I created a floral focal image using stamps from Reverse Confetti and the challenge colors. The image was cut out with the matching die, then adhered to a burgundy panel using foam tape for dimension. The burgundy panel was topped with a strip of cream cardstock. After rounding the edges of the panel with a corner rounder, I adhered it to a pink card base. The "you are simply splendid" sentiment from RC's So Many Sentiments set was stamped on a narrow cream strip that I placed at the bottom of the burgundy panel, tucking it beneath the raised flower cluster. A green tab cut with RC's Tag Me die set was adhered to the top left of the panel for balance.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.  As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine.  Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project.  And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD713.  If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd713 and #colorthrowdown.  You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown.  Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper Christy Stanford.
