It's time for another Color Throwdown! Wanda is our hostess with a mix of soft colors-yellow, light pink, cream and green.
The layout for my design is based on the current Sunday Stamps challenge. I created a gold frame for the focal point of my card using a pair of circle dies and gold foil cardstock. After backing the frame with pale yellow cardstock, I adhered it to the center of a cream panel. With the help of my MISTI, I stamped a pair of poppy clusters using Reverse Confetti's Poppies stamp set along with dye inks for the leaves and flower bases and a distress oxide for the centers. I cut out the stamped images using the matching die, then adhered them to the frame using foam tape for dimension. The "thank you" sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp set was stamped at the center of the yellow circle in Kitsch Flamingo distress ink. I adhered the finished panel to a yellow card base matching the sentiment panel and the flowers.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD730. If you upload your projects on social media, go ahead and use the hashtag #ctd730 and #colorthrowdown. You can find us on Instagram and on Facebook with the username colorthrowdown. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and this week's Guest Star Stamper.
