I paired the colors with the current sketch at CAS Colours and Sketches. I adjusted the layout to make a mini slimline card for a colleague's birthday. The card base is as close to dusty rose as I could find in my cardstock stash. I added a layered square panel on the left side, starting with a contrasting white pierced square and ending with a blush pink gingham pierced square. For the sentiment, I die cut the word "happy" from blush and white cardstock. The die cuts were layered, offsetting them slightly, then placed on the cardfront overlapping the right side of the square panel. The "birthday" sentiment from the Happy Happy Birthday stamp set from My Favorite Things was stamped beneath the die cut in black ink. I probably should have stamped it in white and heat embossed it.. The finishing touch was a trio of blush enamel dots scattered around the word "birthday.:To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post.
