Color Throwdown 796-With Gratitude

It's time for another Color Throwdown! Lisa is our hostess this week with a warm, vibrant mix of citrus inspired colors--yellow, orange, and fuchsia.

I paired the colors with the current sketch from Sunday Stamps. My focal image uses the emboss resist technique. I stamped a floral silhouette image from the My Favorite Things Flower Silhouettes stamp set in white on a white panel, then covered the image with a trio of blended distress oxides. After wiping the ink off of the embossed images, I matted the image panel on a piece of fuchsia cardstock. To create the background for the image, I cut panels of yellow dotted patterned paper and solid orange cardstock. The pieces were adhered together with a strip of narrow strip of fuchsia cardstock between them, then wrapped with a piece of yellow grosgrain ribbon that I tied in a simple knot. I adhered the panels to a yellow card base, then topped it with the image panel. The "with gratitude" sentiment from MFT's Bitty Thanks and Gratitude stamp set was stamped in black ink on a narrow yellow cardstock strip and adhered over the image panel to finish the design.
