This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge theme is Anything Goes. I went with one of my very first Paper Smooches sets for my card for the challenge.
I stamped a pair of acorns on kraft cardstock using dark brown ink and the Falling for You set. Instead of coloring the images, I paper pieced them using a combination of patterned paper and solid cardstock.
The acorns were arranged on a kraft panel over a strip of yellow floral patterned paper. For contrast, I edged the floral paper with a scalloped strip cut with PS's Borders 2 die. I stamped the set's "nutty for you" sentiment next to the acorn, then added a tiny stamped heart in the space just above the acorns.
Don’t miss what the rest of the SPARKS team has created this week. Here’s where to find them:
Falling for You stamp set, Borders 2 dies (Paper Smooches); Memento Espresso Truffle ink (Tsukineko); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Chocolate Chip cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Dutch Mustard Soup 6x6 paper pad (Jillibean Soup); foam tape
Lori, this is so cute! I LOVE the paper pieced acorns- it's finally a little cooler around these parts and your card has me in the mood for FALL! :)
