All Mixed Up

This week's Ways to Use It challenge on SCS was the perfect opportunity to use some of my new stuff. The challenge was to use things from different manufacturers to create a card--basically, mixing and matching, instead of relying on a single company to do the matching for you. This card uses products from Fiskars, Stampin' Up!, Joann, and Making Memories. A few weeks ago, I got a set of Fiskars clear stamps from Joann and wanted to see how they stamped, so I pulled those out right away. Those stamps are used for the sentiment and the retro-looking rows of circles image on the cardfront. I stamped the rows of circles image using Color Box chalk inks. It really made a nice, crisp image, which is sometimes a problem with clear stamps. The patterned paper on the bottom of the card is from Making Memories. The purples in the paper coordinated nicely with SU!'s Lovely Lilac and Almost Amethyst. If you look closely at the pattern, there are tiny dots in some of the rows, so I used those circles in other elements on the card (dots on ribbon, paper pierced holes, circular stamped image, circle brad). The circle image is from SU!'s Ronald McDonald House set, Wishing You the Best. I stamped the image in craft ink, then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. The flower is colored with marker to match the Lovely Lilac cardfront.

Materials Used:
From Stampin' Up!: Wishing You the Best stamp set; Lovely Lilac, Almost Amethyst, and Whisper White cardstock; Almost Amethyst and White Craft inks; clear embossing powder; 1 3/8" circle punch; mat pack and paper piercing tool; stampin' dimensionals
Other: Thank You stamp set (Fiskars); Lavender Chalk ink (Color Box) 1 1/2" circle punch (EK Success); Meg paper (Making Memories); white brad (Joann); white dotted ribbon (Michaels)
