Pomegranate Petals

For today's color challenge (and for a swap I'm working on for the SU! regional seminar in Philadelphia), I pulled out my Pick a Petal set. It's gone unused for a while and I thought that those petals would look nice with the vivid colors in this challenge--Taken with Teal, Purely Pomegranate, and Always Artichoke.

Teal and pomegranate ended up being the primary colors on this card. I really like the way these bold colors look together. I stamped the outline petal images on shimmery white paper. It is so pretty IRL! The white taffeta ribbon looks nice with the shimmery paper. It has just a hint of shimmer, too.

I used just a little Always Artichoke as an accent for the main image and for the sentiment. The sentiment is from the Fundamental Phrases set. This set is becoming one of my go-to sets for finishing a card. There are words in that set to fit almost anything!

Materials Used:
From Stampin' Up!: Pick a Petal and Fundamental Phrases stamp sets; Taken with Teal, Always Artichoke, and Purely Pomegranate Classic inks; Taken with Teal, Always Artichoke, Purely Pomegranate, and Shimmery White cardstock; 1 1/4" and 1" circle punches; large oval punch; white taffeta ribbon; slit punch; dimensionals
Other: small rhinestone (Walmart); large self-adhesive rhinestone (Joann)
