Priceless in River Rock

I made this card for today's featured stamper challenge on SCS. Bev/Texas Grammy is the featured stamper this week and I selected this card from her SCS gallery (see it here) to work with.

Bev's card has a definite Christmas theme, which I wanted to change for my card. It used a Christmas themed stamp set and River Rock as the card base with some red and green as the other main colors. To make the card less Christmas-like, I changed the stamp set and the color scheme, though only somewhat. I kept the River Rock and red, but added blue and brown. I used a color combination I found on the Stampin' Up! color combination chart for this year's In Colors.

The layout is pretty much the same as in Bev's original card, but I flipped it to change the orientation from vertical to horizontal. Not sure I like how the ribbon looks oriented like that, though--I probably should have tied it across the panel in the other direction.

In the description of her card, Bev said that she wanted to use just one stamp set to create her card and I kept that goal in mind when I was doing my card. I used images from just the Priceless stamp set. Usually when I use Priceless, I go straight for the butterfly image. Today, I used one of the flower images. I stamped it three times in Ruby Red ink and cut the flowers out. Using dimensionals, I stuck them to the white panel that was stamped with the large swirl image in Blue Bayou. I added some little rhinestones to the flower centers, too.

Materials Used:
Priceless stamp set, Ruby Red, Blue Bayou, Close to Cocoa, and River Rock Classic inks, Ruby Red, Blue Bayou, Chocolate Chip, River Rock, and Whisper White cardstock, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); rhinestones (Walmart); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels)
