Glideabella in Blue and What?
Yesterday I came home to find two special treats. First, my box of new Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer Collection catalogs finally arrived. And, I opened my mailbox to find two envelopes full of Stamping Bella images from an image swap I recently participated in. What a fun mail day!
Since I had a Bella "blizzard" yesterday when I opened my image swap envelopes, you'll probably be seeing a bunch of cards using Stamping Bella images over the next week or so. They are just so adorable. I'm working on creating a decorated tin to house and organize all the images. I guess it's a good thing that I'm not working all of next week . . .
This card was made with an image I stamped myself and not from the image swap. I just got Glideabella in my latest Stamping Bella order. I decided to pair a traditional winter color (blue) with a non-traditional one (khaki, I guess you'd call it--or Sahara Sand in SU! terms) for this card.
I love this winter themed patterned paper. It has a subtle shimmer to it and is a great match for a wintery dressed Bella image. It's a close enough match to the Sahara Sand paper to work with it. The blue satin ribbon I used is an almost exact match for the blue in the paper and really adds to the shimmery, icy feel.
I colored the Glideabella image with Copic markers. I used my Stardust glitter pen to add a shimmer to her skirt, scarf, and cap. I also pulled out my white fun flock to add fluff to her jacket. I used a silver gel pen on her skate blades and on the skate "tracks," too.
The sentiment is from Amuse. It's great with all kinds of wintery images.
Materials Used: Glideabella image (Stamping Bella); sentiment (Amuse); Sahara Sand and Close to Cocoa cardstock, Dazzling Diamonds, two way glue pen, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); patterned paper (Alpine Fashion by KI Memories); silver gel pen, clear Glaze pen and Stardust pen (Sakura); white fun flock (Stampendous); snowflake brad (Making Memories); blue satin ribbon (AC Moore); Copic markers
