Dotted Cupcakeabella
We're back from the (very chilly and windy!) beach! It was nice to get away for a while, even though I didn't actually set foot on the beach this time. We spent time shopping, going to the movies, and eating out. I was able to finish the card fronts for the new catalog and Sale-A-Bration swaps I had signed up for, too, so it was a productive weekend.
I made this card for Beate's weekend sketch challenge. I love the fun Cupcakeabella image from Stamping Bella and based this card around the dots on her dress.
I found a piece of cheerful dotted paper in my collection. The paper has a soft yellow background with pink and green dots. I found similar shades of cardstock in my SU! collection for the card base and mats. I colored the Bella image with Copic markers. The cupcake is highlighted with Dazzling Diamonds.
For the panel on the right side of the card, I used my All in a Row stamp set to create a faux stitched border in Regal Rose ink. I added a trio of small pink felt flowers with clear plastic dome embellishments (faux Dew Drops) in the center. I stamped one of the sentiments ("it's party time") from the Never a Loss 4 Words set from Kitchen Sink Stamps and punched it out with my word window punch. I attached it to the bottom of the panel to finish the card.
Materials Used:
Cupcakeabella stamp (Stamping Bella); sentiment (Never a Loss 4 Words, Kitchen Sink Stamps); All in a Row stamp set, Regal Rose and Barely Banana cardstock, Regal Rose Classic ink, word window punch, Dazzling Diamonds (Stampin' Up!); patterned paper (Sugar collection from Memory Box); felt flowers (Prima); plastic dome embellishments (Michaels); markers (Copic Ciao); red Glaze pen (Sakura); Graphite Black ink (Brilliance); white cardstock (Georgia Pacific)
