Sketches {by Tamara} # 47

I have time for just a quick post this morning before I head off to work . We had some really severe storms yesterday afternoon and evening, so when I got home from class a little after 9:00 last night, I didn't have power at my house. So, I packed up my stuff and Cosmo the crazy dog, too, and headed to my parents' house for the night since they had electricity. I got home this morning and found that the power at my house was just restored a short time ago, so I've been running around resetting clocks and other stuff. (Edited to add--I'm actually at work now--the power went off as I was finishing the post and I just wanted to quickly publish it . . .)

Here's my card for this week's sketch at Sketches {by Tamara}. I used one of the new stamp sets from Kitchen Sink Stamps. The Baseball set is perfect for masculine cards. I know I'll be using it a lot.

I stamped the glove image using three different shades of brown (Creamy Caramel, stamped off once for the base, then Creamy Caramel again, then Close to Cocoa, then Chocolate Chip). The shading on the image is so detailed, it seems to jump off the paper!

The sentiment is actually a long line of words. I inked the different segments of the sentiment separately so I could stamp them to fit the panel. I sponged a little brown ink around the edges for a weathered look.
