Sketches {by Tamara} #57

Here's my card for this week's sketch at Sketches {by Tamara} . I really like the pink, gray, and black color scheme I used here for this very feminine feeling card.

It's hard to see in the photo, but I stamped the large flower image from SU!'s Big Pieces on the white sentiment panel in Pink Pirouette ink, stamping off first, to create a subtle background for the sentiment. I stamped the curvy sentiment from Stem Sayings in Basic Gray ink on the panel, then attached it to a cardfront covered with a piece of patterned paper from the retired Spring Fling paper pack.

The card is embellished with jeweled paper flowers that match the colors of the card. The flowers were actually my inspiration for the color combination. I realized that I hadn't used them yet and that they'd be just perfect for this sketch.

I'm sad to say that my term on the Sketches {by Tamara} card design team will be coming to an end soon. Tamara's currently looking for some new members for the card design team. If you're interested in joining this great creative group, you can find info on how to apply here.

Materials Used:
Big Pieces and Stem Sayings stamp sets, Basic Gray and Pink Pirouette Classic inks, Basic Gray, Basic Black, and Whisper White cardstock, Spring Fling designer paper (Stampin' Up!); white satin ribbon (Target); paper flowers (Petaloo)
