Girly Guide Lines
I used Kristina's color inspiration challenge as the inspiration for this clean and simple card. The colors included in the challenge were Soft Sky (I miss that one!), Rose Red, Regal Rose, Bravo Burgundy, and Whisper White. You might have to look closely to see all of the colors, but I promise, they're there . . .
I decided to use the Guide Lines set from Papertrey Ink to create a patterned panel for the cardfront. The lines are stamped in the darker Rose Red ink on a piece of Soft Sky paper. The decorative image within each of the grid boxes is stamped with Regal Rose craft ink for a more opaque look. These images are so easy to stamp with and create a really pretty piece of "patterned" paper. I picked up two packages of small beads at Walmart over the weekend and they were sitting on the table, calling out to be used, so I embellished the center of each image with a small bead. I layered this panel on a piece of Regal Rose cardstock and attached it to the cardfront with foam tape.
I created a two-toned panel to cover most of the cardfront. I tied a strip of wide Regal Rose grosgrain ribbon around the panel, covering where the two colors meet. I stamped the sentiment, also in craft ink, just above the knot.
This two-toned panel is layered on a piece of white cardstock, then attached to a Bravo Burgundy card base. See, I got all of the colors in there, even though some are barely there!
Materials Used:
Guide Lines and Paper Tray stamp sets (Papertrey Ink); Rose Red Classic ink, Regal Rose Craft ink, Soft Sky, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Bravo Burgundy, and Whisper White cardstock, Regal Rose wide grosgrain, Crystal Effects (Stampin' Up!); white beads (Walmart); foam tape
