Happy Birthday, Kitchen Sink Stamps!

Can you believe it?? Kitchen Sink Stamps is turning one! In honor of this big event, Maria has planned some great things for KSS fans to celebrate this special occasion.

Here's what you need to know:
  • Starting today, you can see sneak peeks of the new sets on Maria's blog (and I'd bet you'll see some on the design team members' blogs soon, too . . .) and have a chance to win some fun KSS merchandise, too.

  • From today through the end of September, receive free shipping on all KSS orders of $75 or more.

  • On September 25, 4 brand new sets will be released, plus a very special limited edition anniversary set.

  • September 25 is also the start of a sale at KSS. The first 5 sets released by KSS will be on sale for 15% off--remember which ones they are??

  • And, finally, September 25 is the last day to enter the monthly contest at the Kitchen Sink Stamps blog. You can find details on the theme and how to enter to win free stamps here.

And since we're celebrating Kitchen Sink, here's a card featuring KSS stamps. For today's card, I went back and pulled out my very first ever Kitchen Sink Stamps set, the three step Daisy set. I love the bold flower images in this one. Here, I used different shades of pink/red (Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Rose Red) on Shimmery White cardstock for the large flower image. I added the two toned leaf image using Kiwi Kiss and Old Olive inks. The large "Thank You" sentiment is stamped in Chocolate Chip ink so it will stand out from the image. I layered the flower panel on a light pink scallop edged panel.

I used a piece of patterned paper from SU!'s Haiku paper pack for the panel on the left side of the card. I added a strip of scalloped Rose Red paper to the edge and stitched along the side, too. I found a piece of matching satin ribbon and tied that around the cardfront. Quick and elegant all at once!

Materials Used:
Daisy stamp set (Kitchen Sink Stamps); Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Kiwi Kiss, Old Olive, Close to Cocoa, and Chocolate Chip Classic inks, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Pink Pirouette, and Shimmery White cardstock, Haiku designer paper, scallop edge punch, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); rectangle and scalloped rectangle dies (Nestabilities); olive satin ribbon (Michaels); Stickles (Ranger); sewing machine
