Glam Girls Rock!

Yes, Friday mornings are usually reserved for my weekly blogger challenge group posts. Due to circumstances beyond my control, my long-planned project is not yet completed. It's almost done, but I'm waiting on one final (but crucial) element before I can share it. I should be back with my finished project for this week's challenge later today, so stop back to check it out.

In its place, I have this fun card using one of the new Glam Girls images from All That Scraps. I love these images! Since the Bella card I shared yesterday ended up straying a little from Julee's Mojo Monday sketch, I decided to give the sketch another try with one of the newly arrived Glam Girls.

I paired the rocker girl with some starry patterned paper from i {heart} papers. The stars are perfect for a rock star, aren't they? I colored the image with Copic markers to match the paper, then used some Angel Wings Shimmerz to highlight parts of the image.

The patterned paper is layered over a Bravo Burgundy cardfront. I added a Bordering Blue scalloped strip across the cardfront, embellished with some burgundy faux suede ribbon and some Dew Drops. The sentiment is stamped in white pigment ink, then heat embossed with some Iridescent Ice embossing powder for more rock star-like sparkle

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: paper, Angel Wings Shimmerz, May Arts burgundy faux suede ribbon
other: Glam Girls III stamp set (All That Scraps); White Craft ink, Bravo Burgundy and Bordering Blue cardstock, large oval punch, scallop edge punch, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); white cardstock (Xerox); markers (Copic Ciao); Dew Drops
