Peace-Ful Colors

I made this card using the colors from Kristina's latest color inspiration challenge--Pale Plum, Perfect Plum, Bordering Blue, Sage Shadow, and Certainly Celery. When combined, these colors have such a soft, peaceful look and feel. So, I decided that Stamping Bella's Hippiechickabella with her message of peace would be a nice match for these colors.

I used Julee's Mojo Monday sketch as inspiration for the layout of this card, but didn't completely stick with the sketch. I colored the Bella image with Copic markers. Her jeans are the only Bordering Blue on the card and her shirt is Sage Shadow-ish. I sponged a little Sage Shadow ink around the stamped image, too.

I used Papertrey Ink's Plum Pudding cardstock for the card base and PTI's Lavender Moon for the strip across the cardfront and the panel behind the stamped image. The polka dotted paper is also from PTI. I added a Certainly Celery panel behind the patterned paper to bring in a little more of this shade of green. I stamped the "peace" sentiment in Plum Pudding ink on a scrap of Lavender Moon cardstock, then embellished it with a Dew Drop before adding it to the cardfront.

Materials Used:
Hippiechickabella image and peace sentiment (Stamping Bella); Tuxedo Black ink (Memento); white cardstock (Xerox); markers (Copic Ciao); Plum Pudding Palette ink, Plum Pudding and Lavender Moon cardstock, Polka Dot Parade patterned paper, Plum Pudding grosgrain ribbon (Papertrey Ink); oval punch (EK Success); Sage Shadow Classic ink, Certainly Celery cardstock, scallop edge punch, sponge, dimensionals (Stampin' Up!); Dew Drop (Kitchen Sink Stamps)
