Kitchen Sink Monday: Trying out the Tulips

I'm probably the last Kitchen Sink Stamps design team member to break out the brand new Bitty Tulip Bouquet set. I wasn't about to be left out any longer! Everyone else's creations inspired me to pull out my set over the weekend and create a simple, one layer card that highlights these pretty images.

These images were so easy to line up! I did one practice on a scrap of paper, then I was good to go. I used Papertrey Ink's white cardstock as the card base since it's so sturdy. I stamped the stems (the larger bouquet), then the tulips, then the glass bowl. I experimented a little with the bowl on a scrap of paper before coming up with the color combination I used here (PTI's Aqua Mist ink, then SU!'s Soft Sky and Cool Caribbean).

I stamped the "thinking of you" sentiment from the 3 Step Hibiscus set in Regal Rose ink alongside the tulip image, then wrapped a piece of bold Raspberry Fizz ribbon around the top of the card. I love the spring feel of this card, especially with the cold weather we've been experiencing here! The last thing I did was to add a layer of Crystal Effects to the glass bowl to give it the look of being filled with water.
